मंदिर में, अपने विजन में
पास में प्रकाश नहीं, पथ मुझको ज्ञात नहीं
छाई है कालिमा घनेरी
चरणों की उठती ध्वनि आती बस तेरी
रात है अँधेरी
हवा सौंप जाती है वसनों की वह सुगंधि,
तेरी, बस तेरी
उसी ओर आऊँ मैं, तनिक से इशारे पर,
करूँ नहीं देरी

बीतती नहीं बेला सुर मैं उठाता

जोह रहा बाट अभी मिलना तो बाकी
चाहो क्या रुकूँ नहीं रहूँ सदा गाता

जैसे रहता है पूर्णिमा का चांद
तुम मेरे हृदय की शांति में निवास करोगी
आश्चर्य में डूबे मुझ पर
तुम्हारी उदास आंखें
निगाह रखेंगी
तुम्हारे घूंघट की छाया
मेरे हृदय पर टिकी रहेगी
गर्मी की रातों में पूरे चांद की तरह खिलती
तुम्हारी सांसें, उन्हें सुगंधित बनातीं
मरे स्वप्नों का पीछा करेंगी।

वसंत के फूलों-सी

यह पुरानी धुनों की
याद दिला रही है
अचानक मेरे हृदय में
इच्छाओं की हरी पत्तियाँ
उगने लगी हैं
मेरा प्यार पास नहीं है
पर उसके स्पर्श मेरे केशों पर हैं
और उसकी आवाज़ अप्रैल के
सुहावने मैदानों से फुसफुसाती आ रही है ।
उसकी एकटक निगाह यहाँ के
आसमानों से मुझे देख रही है
पर उसकी आँखें कहाँ हैं
उसके चुंबन हवाओं में हैं
पर उसके होंठ कहाँ हैं …
